New Signings, New Placements
It’s been a tough time for the music industry but we’ve not stopped cracking on in any way we can to help support our artists and to find opportunities for their music. Here’s a round up of some new faces to the Wipe Out Music roster alongside some placements you might have missed over the past couple of months.
We’re delighted to have welcomed Snow Coats to our roster. The band have recently signed to the excellent Alcopop Records with their debut EP set for release later this year. We can’t wait to share more of their music with you.
Henry’s Funeral Shoe song Be Your Own Invention has found a placement on forthcoming dark comedy film Redemption Of A Rogue. The feature film is the first from the award-winning playwright Philip Doherty.
At the start of the summer we introduced Billy Nomates as a new signing to our roster. Billy Nomates is the solo music project of Tor Maries who recently signed to Invada Records. Her first singles No, FNP and Hippy Elite were released over the summer, gaining huge support from BBC Radio 6 Music. Her self titled debut album is released early August.
Ruth Patterson’s beautiful piano ballad Sink or Swim has been picked up by BBC Radio 4 for use in trailers for the reading of Anne Enright’s new book Actress.
During the pandemic we’ve also seen new albums from Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs, Warm Digits, Nick Corbin and Lucy & The Rats. Check out the below playlist which features a mix of new releases from our artists.
